Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band (mono UK original PMC 7027 -1-1 - VG condition record with some light surface marks/with red inner and unused cutout/first UK pressing sleeve containing 'Fourth Proof' 'AR D 1321' printing on the inside flipback tabs, VG condition with some shelfwear and scuffs) and The White Album (mono UK original top loader number 0158017, no 'EMI Recording' on labels, -1/-1/-1/-1 - record 1 in VG condition with some surface marks/scuffs, record 2 in neat VG+ condition/housed with original poster, black inners, spacer, no photos/VG+ clean condition sleeve with some minor scuffs).
A fascinating collection of Beatles ephemera, to include: an original mocked-up design of the cover of the 'Penny Lane' sheet music with text cutouts and handwritten annotations, likely used in pre-production. To measure 26 x 31cm. Also four pages from a 1966 songbook with handwritten annotations, as well as a sheet with notes for the design of a rear cover. Also four colour transparencies of the famous Abbey Road photograph, each overlayed and affixed to card, several text cut outs of Beatles song titles and several transparencies, again used for the production of songbooks, sheet music.
An excellent collection of ephemera, with one box of materials used for the production of a Rubber Soul songbook published by 'Wise Publications' to inc: mockup of a title page with 'Rubber Soul' design, track titles and page numbers (with overlay sheet marked 'page one', 25 sheets of musical notation with many sheets featuring handwritten annotations and some pasted titles/information. Also some uncut title cards. A second box contains similar materials inc a negative transparency sheet with advert for 'The Amazing Beatles Years' and a printed proof example of the advert. Also some communication dated 1974 relating to the production of work for 'Music Sales Limited'.

THE BEATLES - PLEASE PLEASE ME LP (ORIGINAL UK MONO 'BLACK AND GOLD' PRESSING - PMC 1202). Lovely to see very well presented 1st UK mono 'black and gold' copy of Please Please Me. The record (PMC 1202, with Dick James credits for tracks A1, 2, 6, 7, B4 and 6) is in very fine VG+ condition. Showing some light and minor surface marks, the playing surfaces remain sharp and glossy with absolutely no heavier marks or scratches to mention. Crisp and clean labels. Matrix/mother stampers: XEX 421-1N 1 P & XEX 422-1N 1 L. With original Emitex inner. The first printing 'right' aligned Angus McBean credit sleeve is in superb Ex condition. The front showing only slight wear, there is some rather minor ringwear/foxing to the reverse, this as stated and very minor. Very little wear to the flipback tabs. Great example.

An original 1963 concert programme for the Chris Montez / Tommy Roe concert tour, on which the Beatles would eventually become the headline attraction. The programme bears tape repairs, handwriting to cover and inner pages, creasing. Also included is a concert ticket stub for the Liverpool Empire date, heavily marked/covered in pen.

An excellent original scrapbook, with a wealth of original cuttings as well as ephemera relating to the Beatles inc leaves from Paul McCartney's garden and car (c 1963) as well as newspaper and magazine cuttings. Signatures include: to the front cover with inscription by Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr (once to an inner page, once to a newspaper cutting). All signatures obtained in person by the vendor who often notes dates, means of transport taken to visit the homes of the band members, details of licence plates, cars etc.
An original copy of The Beatles - Please Please Me (UK, mono, PMC 1202, black and gold with Dick James credits, side one grading at VG+ with just light hairlines, non heavy or feelable and side two grading at G due to two feelable scratches) with large and bold signatures by Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr to the reverse of the sleeve. Signatures obtained in person by the vendor.
An early Parlophone promotional postcard c 1963 with signatures to the verso in various inks by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. The postcard measures approx 14.5 x 9cm. Condition is poor, with tape repairs, paper losses, general age wear and discolouration. The autographs have been authenticated by Roger Epperson prior to this sale. Provenance: the postcard was signed for the vendor's grandmother when the group played Leigh Casino in 1963. The vendor's grandfather played in the local group The Beat Boys and knew The Beatles from gigging around the North West.
An original 7" single: The Beatles - Love Me Do (45-R 4949, VG). The 7" single bears signatures to label on the A side by George Harrison, John Lennon and to B side by Ringo Starr and in marker pen by Paul McCartney (with tape covering signature). The signatures were obtained in person by the vendor - who often travelled throughout 1963 to try to spot band members at their homes.
A 1963 'Motorists' Diary' with Luton address - with a page bearing clear and bold signatures by George Harrison, John Lennon, Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney. Other signatures in the book include: Cilla Black, members of The Hollies, Pages measure approx 10 x 7.2cm. Pages are with perforation to lower edge and the page with Beatles signatures is partially detached from lower edge though the page is clean and intact. Provenance: signatures obtained in person by vendor's father - at concert in Luton 6th September 1963 - Odeon. This date is marked in the diary. Signatures authenticated by Roger Epperson prior to this sale.
A fantastic set of 12 photographs taken by Tony Bramwell on the 'first day' of Apple Records, c May 1968. The pictures depict members of the band and management sat on the floor (clearly chairs hadn't been purchased yet) at the Savile Row office. Ten of the photos measure 13 x 9cm. One measures 9 x 9cm. An 8mm film with 9 minutes of footage, including some excellent shots of the Beatles arriving at Heathrow airport ahead of their flight to the Bahamas in Feb 1965. Many close ups show the band in good spirits posing for photographs and boarding the plane, as well as some excellent images of the massed fans lining the viewing balconies with banners, hoping to see the group. The film was shot by the vendor's father and is sold here with full copyright.

The record (PCS 7096 2U/2U) is in VG+ condition with a couple of light and surface marks perhaps most noted at the start of side 2. The red apple original sleeve is in clean and sharp Ex condition. With original black inner. Missing the 'inner' tray The Get Back book is in Ex condition with no loose pages. The 'outer' tray is in VG condition with some creasing and a couple of small tears. The outer slipcase sleeve is in clean Ex condition with a couple of light creases.
