PETE TOWNSHEND WHO CAME FIRST APPLE ACETATES - Two single sided 12" acetates marked only as 'Pete Townshend'. A bit of digging reveals he did recordings for 'Who Came First' at the Beatles basement studios at Savile Row which is how we arrive at this scarcely seen (if ever) acetate copy. It's very very playable for an acetate, side one an Ex and side two an Ex.
HALF BREED / SPLINTER / DARK HORSE DEMOS - Two more rarely seen early demos/acetates from Splinter. The first is an LP with hand written note on the paper sleeve to John from band manager and former Beatles tour manager Mal Evans. The LP label is marked in blue pen with the tracks that Bob Purvis has written. This is a very clean Ex mono copy. Second up is a single sided VG+ Apple acetate simply marked 'Half Breed'.

GEORGE HARRISON - APPLE SCRUFFS - 7" APPLE ACETATE - My sweet lord, how about this terrific single sided 7" acetate from George! Released with the 'Custom Recording' London address printed label. The playing surface is in VG condition with some surface markings - these are only light in nature with no scratches to note. Now with Northern Songs credits for tracks A1, 2, B4 and B6. The record is in VG condition. Side 1 has some surface markings - these never extend deeper than this. Side 2 has more notable surface markings and 2 scratches on B1 (Love Me Do) - the record plays through without any skips or jumps with playback absolutely fine. Matrix: XEX 421-1N 2 RG & 422-1N 1 GA. The 2nd pressing sleeve is in G+ to VG condition - not a bad example at all, there is some of the usual laminate wear and damage to the reverse bottom flipback design.
THE BEATLES - LET IT BE BOX WITH BOOK - Lovely example of the limited edition PXS 1 box with the 165 page book. Disc (red apple 1st pressing PCS 7096) is Ex on both sides, with only very wispy marks that won't affect playback. The sleeve is in well presented Ex condition. THE BEATLES - WHITE ALBUM - RECORD 2 TEST PRESSING - Extremely unlikely to come across again Apple 'Custom Recording' test pressing of record 2 from the White Album. With printed labels, though noted is that they are placed on the wrong sides! Housed in a 'generic' Made In England UK Patent white sleeve.

THE BEATLES - WE CAN WORK IT OUT/DAY TRIPPER - UK 7" DEMO - An original UK 7" Parlophone demonstration copy of the famous double header (red/white label R 5389). The A side is in VG condition with some light surface and hairline markings. Never of a heavier nature, this is a solid as you'll ever see VG grade! The B side is in VG+ condition with fewer surface markings; there are only a couple of light marks to the surface to mention and some light wear to the label. The four pronged centre is fully intact. Matrix/stampers: 7XCE 18341-4 1 A & 48342-1 3 RL.
THE BEATLES - PAPERBACK WRITER - UK 7" DEMO - A lovely clean original UK demonstration 7" copy of R 5452 c/w the quite brilliant Rain. THE BEATLES - HELLO, GOODBYE - UK 7" DEMO - Another rarely seen original UK Parlophone demo with Hello, Goodbye b/w I Am The Walrus, issued as R 5655. The record is in VG condition with surface marks to both sides. Perhaps more apparent on the A side, there is a very light scratch (just about 'feelable); the record plays without any skips or jumps. The four pronged centre is fully intact with clean labels - there is a name written at the 12 O'Clock position on the A side label. Matrix/stampers: 7XCE 18433-1 1 G KT & 18434-1 1 G KT. `
THE BEATLES - SOMETHING - UK 7" DEMO (PARLOPHONE) - Almost impossible to find original green/white Parlophone demo of the 1969 cut c/w Come Together (the stock release would be issued on the newly formed Apple Records). The record is in VG condition with some surface marks noted on both sides - these rarely extend any heavier than this; there is one very light but just feelable scratch towards the start of Come Together - this does not cause any skips or jumps with both sides playing through very well. Matrix/stampers: 7YCE 21369-1U 3 GL KT & 21370-1U 4 DR KT. The four pronged centre is fully intact.
THE BEATLES - THIS BOY ACETATE - A truly fascinating item here. A 'heavyweight' 7" acetate (almost feeling like a shellac disc) with 'The Master Sound System' studio labels. This most playable version is indeed a 'rough' take of the classic track. Kicking off with a slightly different acoustic guitar intro, the rest of the track is roughly a semitone lower than the final version. In the verses, Paul and George's vocals are perhaps more elaborate than the final cut, with slightly more 'turns' and extensions such as 'he may want you too' where there is far more emphasis on the 'too'. A lovely version of the track which very much suits the slower 'ballad' tempo and lower key. The record is in remarkable VG+ condition with just a couple of light surface markings - the record can be fully enjoyed without any skips or jumps. With the title hand written in pencil with '9074' stamped. Interestingly, there is in 'unknown' female led ballad track on the B side which we believe is called 'Victoria Falls' - another lovely record!
THE BEATLES - LOVE ME DO - UK 7" DEMO - The phrase 'holy grail' is brandished around a lot these days, but surely this is up there for any Beatles fan - the original UK 7" demo of the very first single (Parlophone red/white labels 54-R 4949). The playing surface on the A side is in VG condition. There are surface marks to the surface with a light scratch towards the start. On playback there are a couple of light pops with no skips or jumps. The B side P.S I Love You is in VG condition. Again, there are surface markings to the playing surface - these are mainly as stated on the surface though there is a small scratch at the end of the track. Again, playback is uninterrupted with so skips or jumps. Love Me Do is credited as 'Lennon-McCartney'. The four pronged centre is fully intact - there is a name 'Tracy' (neatly) written on both sides on the centre. The labels are nice and clean with only minor wear. With the ZT tax code on the A side. Matrix/stampers: 7XCE 17144-1N ZT JR & 7XCE 17145-1N ZT JR. Housed with original promo 'Urgent Special Rush Copy' Parlophone company sleeve, well presented in VG+ condition with no rips or tears.
