The Beatles White Album Autographed By Paul McCartney album with numbered cover No.0142988, four photographs and lyrics sheet, top loading; autographed by Paul McCartney in felt pen inside the gatefold with an arrow pointing to his image The vendor states:Paul McCartney visited the University of East Anglia on Monday 26th November 2001 to give a public reading from his earlier that month published book, ‘The Lyrics: 1956 to the Present’, in the last one of that year’s Autumn series of the Arthur Miller Centre Literary Festival. Whilst on the campus for the reading, the University’s Audio Visual Service hosted an opportunity for Paul to meet up with members of his family, who lived locally, in its green room. I was a member of the AVS team and took the album into the department in the hope that my absolute musical hero, and member of my favourite band might just sign it. He did!! I had purchased the album end November 1968 from the city centre record store Wilson’s (Music), White Lion Street, Norwich. It’s a Mono recording because my parent’s Decca radiogram did not play stereo.

HELP!CGC Graded Lobby Card Set (8) (11" x 14")Near Mint United Artists, 1965This CGC graded set of cards ranges from 8.0 to 9.8, and the average for the group is 9.1, which is Near Mint. This is the Beatles' (John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr) spoof of the famous James Bond franchise in this comic misadventure, their follow-up to the incredibly popular A Hard Day's Night. Richard Lester returns to the director's chair as the boys engage in a globe-spanning chase after Ringo becomes the target of a religious cult looking to retrieve a jewel in the drummer's possession. This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, December 7th. Lot 321

YELLOW SUBMARINEThree Sheet (41" x 79")Very Fine- on Linen; Artist Heinz Edelmann United Artists, 1968A sprawling three sheet featuring Heinz Edelmann's distinctive illustrative style that ended up defining the psychedelic look of the late 60s art. This spotless three sheet has had only minor touch-ups to wear along the upper horizontal fold and the three cross folds, plus the lower center cross fold. There's also some light discoloration on the edges of the fold-over from the top piece and the upper right side.A superb and colorful animated feature, Yellow Submarine contains some of the Beatles' biggest hits and far-out animation headed by Heinz Edelmann. Though the Fab Four sang the songs used in the film, actors supplied the voices of John, Paul, George, and Ringo in the non-musical segments. This lot will be auctioned on Thursday, December 7th. The auction will begin at 9:30am PST and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace. Note other lots in the auction may close on December 8th.

Lot 322

YELLOW SUBMARINEOne-Sheet (27" x 41")Very Fine- on Linen; Artist Heinz Edelmann United Artists, 1968This is the classic one-sheet for Yellow Submarine featuring the psychedelic animation style of Czech-German illustrator Heinz Edelmann. This one-sheet on linen has had only minor restoration, including some touch-ups to the folds lines and some sporadic airbrushing in the corners, borders, and in the background nest to the credits on the right. The poster displays very well.A superb and colorful animated feature, Yellow Submarine contains some of the Beatles' biggest hits and far-out animation headed by Heinz Edelmann. Lot 347

THE BEATLES MAGICAL MYSERY TOURSpecial Promo Poster (15.75" x 20.75")Fine+ Rolled New Line Cinema, c.1967The rare poster offered here is from a private engagement of the film at the Vagabond Theater, a popular revival house on Wilshire Boulevard. The movie would not be shown widely until 1974, when New Line Cinema acquired the rights for limited theatrical release. Without theatrical engagements, either in the UK or the US, very little, if any, promotional material was produced, making this one of the few examples in existence for this important stage in the Beatles' career. This iconic poster in decent condition has multiple staple holes, one in the lower left and two in the upper right. The one in the upper left has a paper pull to the paper's edge and there has been chipping of the one in the lower right. Plus, there is one in the center in the upper part of Paul McCartney's hair. The poster also has general smudging in the backgrounds of some of the white areas.Inspired by the 1964 cross-country American bus trip staged by counter-culture guru Ken Kesey and the Merry Pranksters, it was shot not as a feature film but as a TV special with a running time of only 52 minutes. It focused on the Beatles and a group of tourists taking a coach tour and having a series of wild adventures and experiences (some of them distinctly psychedelic) caused by a group of wizards (played by the Beatles themselves). Unfortunately, when the film premiered on BBC1, it was shown in black and white, as BBC1 could not broadcast in color at the time. The dismal reviews prevented the film from being shown in the US and was thus seen as the Beatles' first critical failure. This lot will be auctioned on Friday, December 8th. The auction will begin at 9:30am PST and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace. Note other lots in the auction may close on December 7th.

Lot 424

FILMS BY JOHN LENNON AND YOKO ONOOne-Sheet (27" x 39"); Iain MacMillian Photo StyleVery Fine+ Rolled; Artist Iain MacMillian Genesis, 1972A unique piece of John Lennon history, this poster featuring a captivating photo by photographer Ian MacMillian touted a compilation project of short films co-produced and directed by John and Yoko Ono that played at a few small venues for a night. The rolled poster is in a near-mint condition other than some slight edge wear and an area on the right border that has been slightly crimped.A founding member of the Beatles, a pop-music legend, and a committed peace activist, John Lennon helped change the face of the music scene during the '60s and '70s before he was murdered by a fan in 1980 at the age of only 40.This lot will be auctioned on Friday, December 8th. The auction will begin at 9:30am PST and lots are sold sequentially via live auctioneer; tune in to the live streaming broadcast on auction day to follow the pace. Note other lots in the auction may close on December 7th.
