Beatles / Signatures plus, an autograph book containing signatures of the Beatles on different pages plus others. The Vendor won a competition in the Birmingham Evening Mail Newspaper and was invited to an episode of Thank Your Lucky Stars to see the Beatles. The original episode was cancelled due to a strike and the vendor was invited to the rescheduled show on March 28th 1965 (the invitation letter from ABC is included in the lot). This was the Beatles last appearance on the show - The Vendor writes as follows in their letter of provenance "I went backstage and asked for their autographs. George, Paul and Ringo signed the book and then John put his signature in last. I said something like "That doesn't look very tidy" to which he replied by telling me to go away (Or words to that effect!)" - other autographs obtained on the evening include Tom Jones, Hilton Valentine of The Animals, Eugene Pearson of the Drifters and Carole Deene. Other notable autographs in the book include Tony Crane and John Banks from The Merseybeats, Brian Hatton, Brian O'Hara and Dave Lovelady of The Fourmost, various actors from 'Crossroads' and a signed photo of Bert Weedon (a list of all the notable signatures is included as is the aforementioned ABC letter and the original envelope) - Comes with signed letter of provenance from the vendor
