An early 1960's autograph book, with music and theatre autographs mostly collected in 1962, including Ella Fitzgerald, Shirley Bassey, Cliff Richard, Adam Faith, Frankie Vaughan, David Kissoff and 'The Beatles' (single signature of band name, not of each member of the band).Provenance: collected by the vendor's father from The Guild Hall and the King's Theatre Portsmouth, directly from the stage door with a few inserts from his friend's aunt who worked in the theatre and collected them for him.

The Beatles Autographs - Book containing a page signed by John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr, all are good clear autographs with 'Beatles' written to the top which the vendor recalls Paul doing. The page is dated in pencil to the top 27-5-63 from when The Beatles played at the Capitol Cinema in Cardiff with Roy Orbison and Gerry and The Pacemakers and the vendor of the album was in attendance at the concert when The Beatles signatures were collected. Two magazine pages (probably from a circa 1965 edition of "The Beatles Book", depicting The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show, etc, signed by all four members of the group - John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr. (Provenance: Signatures collected by vendors aunt who gave them to the vendor as a 21st birthday present). CONDITION REPORTS The paper was once in a booklet and has been ripped out so now in two pages with missing sections down the middle. A tear to the top right hand corner. Edges are tatty. Selotape marks running down the middle. Brown marks and further marks throughout. Folded crease running horizontally through the middle. One corner has been turned over. Brown marks to top right hand corner. Fading to the Ringo Starr signature and some fading to the John Lennon signature. Philip Allwood, the Senior Auctioneer, who has dealt with Beatles signatures before, is happy that they are right. General wear and tear throughout. See images for further details.
