Fine quality late Victorian Irish five piece tea set - comprising silver teapot of bellied form, with embossed fruit, floral and scroll decoration, flared rim and engraved monogram, ebonised scroll handle and hinged domed cover with foliate finial on three impressive lion mask and paw feet, matching hot water jug, sugar and cream jug (Dublin 1898 / 1900), West & Son, together with an en-suite silver plated spirit kettle, stand and burner, kettle stamped 'West & Son Dublin'. Approximately 64ozs weighable silver, teapot 25.5cm across General overall condition good, all pieces have some surface scratching and minor denting. Teapot - tip of spoput has been repaired and reduced slightly, handle is worn and has been inked or painted in, no other damage or repair, marks clear. Hot water jug - Spout slightly distorted and worn, handle is worn and refinished, no other damage or repair, marks clear. Sugar & cream - minor distortion to rims, cream jug handle may have been repaired at top mount, no other damage or repair, marks clear.
