An Edwardian Silver tea set comprising:- a teapot, sugar bowl and a milk jug, with gadrooned edge, the milk jug and sugar bowl with foliate scrolling handles, all raised on pierced scrolling feet, hallmarked Birmingham 1909, by Henry Matthews.Gross weight 1080g.Tarnishing and slight surface scratching.
A Chinese silver four piece tea set by Wang Hing, late Qing, the covers with knops in the form of a prunus branch and blossom, the bodies with each with relief applied dragons, with simulated bamboo handles and spouts, struck to the unbderside WH 97, and pure metal characters. Ivory Certification reference 9J5BZRSN.Spirit kettle missing its stand and a pin that secures its cover to the body The handle is slightly loose and it has solder repairs at the base of both ends where it joins the body. A CASED SET OF TWO GEORGE II SILVER TEA CADDIES AND A SUGAR BOX by Samuel Taylor, London 1750, the pair of caddies of baluster form, the sugar bowl of squat circular form, each with pull-off cover, bud finial and chased with scrolls and flowering foliage, engraved crests and arms, in a mahogany serpentine-front case, the hinged cover with a C-scroll handle, interior lined in crimson velvet, raised on four ball and claw feet. Caddies 14.5cm high, sugar box 15cm high, case 31.5cm wide, gross weight of silver 26.9 troy ouncesThe exterior of the case has minor scratches and chips to the woodwork through wear and tear. Mounts are unmarked. Key lacking. The fretwork escutcheon plate does not sit flush with the case, and two retaining pins are lacking. Feet a little bent with the result that it rocks when on a flat surface. Hinges appear unstrained. The cover opens and closes nicely. The case interior is a little untidy. Velvet is worn, particularly in the holders where it has split. Dents and splits to the velvet on the cover. The silver is in good condition with no apparent signs of damage or repair. Some minor surface scratches, dents and dings as to be expected and commensurate with age. All three covers fit well. All hallmarks are clear and readable.

The hinge is in good condition, and the cover closes well. Retains the lock but without a key. In generally very good condition.

No evidence of erasure or thinning. Tap appears to work ok. Stands well and does not rock. In generally good condition commensurate with age.

The tea pot with ivory insulators, exempt on the account of it being made prior to 1947 and contains less than 10%vory by volumne, submission ref. 71K1T4MM. Condition - tea pot handle at slight angle otherwise fine, appears damage/repair free, general wear inluding minor marks and scratches etc.
