Canon Rawnsley (1851-1920) Vicar of Crosthwaite, near Keswick the School as a metalwork class in 1884 following the teachings of John Ruskin and William Morris.

CONDITION REPORT: Generally in very good condition, minor surface dirt, light tarnish to gilding, hairline crazing to glaze underneath the saucer, approximately 0.7cm. These are first quality (second quality pieces would be mentioned in the description). Cost to post to UK mainland £15 plus VAT.
A Minton 'Marlow' S.309 pattern six setting tea set comprising teapot, teacups, serving tray, cream jug, sugar bowl, saucers and side plates. CONDITION REPORT: No obvious traces of major damage or restoration, minor wear to painted and gilt decoration, minor surface dirt and surface scratches throughout.
SOLOMON HOUGHAM; a George III hallmarked silver three piece tea set comprising an oval teapot, length 30cm, a twin handled sugar bowl and a cream jug, with possibly later pin pricked decoration, London 1803, approx 29.9ozt. CONDITION REPORT: Tarnish throughout, the later pin pricked decoration has been placed in the area of the hallmarks on the cream jug and sugar bowl therefore they are very obscured, the teapot handle seems to be replaced to ebonised handle rather than ivory which would be match the finial, splits to the finial and losses to its base, the line of the edge of the lid is slightly misshapen but it sits well, apart from odd dents, the shape of each appears to be in tact.
