A 1930's Shelley tea set with square fluted cups, floral decoration, 21 pieces; a 1930's Aynsley 7 piece part tea set with butterfly handles CONDITION REPORT: Shelley: 1 cup = 1"hairline frm rim pattern 11561E, 1 sugar bowl hairline around over half base edge Aynsley: sugar bowl hairline crack 2" from rim chip to rim of teapot near handle, cup - chip to butterfly wing handle, teapot stand - some wear to green enamel, likewise saucers with rim chip to one jug only appears ok
AN OLD SHEFFIELD PLATE FITTED FISHSKIN TEA CADDY, C1765 the pear shaped sugar vase and pair of caddies and their covers chased with flowers and rococo cartouches, the caddy lined in red velvet trimmed in giltmetal thread, brass handle, lockplate and feet, with a set of six contemporary teaspoons, 32cm w Illustrated: Crosskey (G), Old Sheffield Plate, second edition, 2013, fig 266. ++In very good condition, the caddies with slight wear, the sugar vase plated on the interior and showing the hammer marks, the lining to the interior in good original condition with some slight wear, the fabric still complete. The exterior with one or two small losses to the fishskin covering and minor splits where the wood has separated slightly, lacking the lock hasp but a very good wholly genuine example
A William IV silver three piece tea set by Edward Barton, London 1833, comprising a teapot of compressed melon shape, lobed and floral embossed with shell scrolled collar below a hinged cover with flower finial, insulated leaf capped handle, 17cm high together with the companion two handled sugar basin and milk jug, 47.57oz (3) Bruise/crease to the cartouche on the teapot, slight bruise to the cartouche on the basin otherwise in good condition
