A collection of Second World War American Navy officers’ mess electroplate, comprising flatware and a tea/coffee set with tray by the International Silver Co., the flatware bearing a fowled anchor to the terminal. The group was brought back from America to the UK by Lieutenant Alan Stewart Walker RNVR. He had been serving on an American made landing craft used by the Royal Navy which was damaged at the Battle of Anzio, he along with other sailors were tasked with taking the ship to Boston, USA to be repaired. Whilst waiting for the repairs to be carried out he stayed with a United States Navy officer's family - who on his departure then gifted him the group of electroplate items. He returned with the ship to the United Kingdom and ultimately Alan and the ship took part in the D-Day landings for which he was mentioned in Despatches – a copy of this is with the lot. He returned home at the end of the war and died shortly thereafter.

A Shelley Queen Anne, Arch of Roses tea set, comprising a milk jug, sugar bowl, two cake plates, 23.5cm wide, seven side plates, 15.5cm wide, twelve cups and thirteen saucers, pattern no. 11606 CONDITION REPORT: Sugar bowl has a small patch of discolouration to the base edge and the base is rough to the touch, milk jug - good, cake plates - one has a small rough patch to a corner edge with slight loss of coloured edge, saucers and side plate - all good, teacups - one has a rim chip otherwise good. Overall condition is good, the set has been little used.
A French silver tea and coffee set, .950 standard, Christofle, circa 1900, the pieces with pine cone finials, Greek key decoration to the rims and armorials to the side, comprising teapot, coffee pot (both with ivory heat absorbers) sugar basin and cover and jug, the coffee pot 21cm high, approximately 2808g/Ivory registration reference 6VZQJ9J3/see illustration CONDITION REPORT: There are scattered small dents to each piece. The sugar base and cover has a dent to the rim, the jug has a few dents, the biggest at the base of the baluster. The coffee pot has repair to base of finial, mainly visible to underside of cover. The tea pot also has a repaired finial, very visible to underside. The set is very good quality but considering this the heat absorbers in the handles look quite crude, perhaps these are replacements.
