Tarnish to surface. Loss to enamel on a flower on one of the lobes of the lid. A couple of other very small losses to enamel. Some small dots of discolouration beneath enamel in petal. Scuffs to base and light wear to gilding.
An Indian silver four-piece tea and coffee service, Kashmir, c.1930, of octagonal baluster form with waisted necks on octagonal feet, decorated with foliage, 63oz Provenance: the vendor's aunt acquired this set whilst working at the Military Hospital in Kashmir at the beginning of the 20th century. CONDITION REPORT: One handle on the sugar bowl is slightly bent. No maker's name.
A silver three-piece tea set, by Roberts & Belk, Sheffield 1934, of rectangular form with canted corners, with engraved bands of decoration, gilt interiors, 33oz The knop resembles a stylised crown, possibly a coronation design. CONDITION REPORT: Light wear and surface scratches, but no obvious major faults. Teapot 16.5cm high.
A matched silver four-piece tea set, by James Deakin & Sons, Sheffield 1909 and 1914, of half fluted oblong form with waisted necks and shell, scroll and gadroon borders, on four ball feet, gilt interiors, 67oz CONDITION REPORT: Slight dent to edge of teapot lid. Solder to front, above spout on teapot, wear by hinge on hot water jug. Otherwise no other obvious major faults.
An Edwardian silver three-piece tea set, by Sibray Hall & Co, London 1907, of panelled vase shape with waisted necks, wavy rims and scroll borders on four leaf capped scroll feet, 39oz CONDITION REPORT: Teapot: Knop split. One foot impacted into body with dents around it. Solder to base of spout. Both sugar bowl and milk jug have dents throughout including to leg and jug. General wear.
