A Royal Albert Heirloom pattern tea service, comprising twenty cups, twenty one saucers, four sandwich plates, twenty one plates, three sugar basins, two milk jugs and teapot (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: This set is in generally first class condition. The only exceptions to this being: teapot spout - damaged and missing, one sugar basin with substantial hairline crack. Other than this all other pieces are perfect. The gilding is in very good order indeed and the service appears to have had very little use. We think that all pieces are first quality in that there is no scratching out or overpainting on the marks. However, we do not know how Royal Albert signified their second quality pieces.
