A GEORGE III TEA POT in the classical style resembling an ancient Greek lamp initialled "TBB", the circular body with tongue & dart borders, decorated by the handle and on each side with the cast mask of a satyr (Silenus?), the spout wrapped with oak foliage, acorns and a shell (the handle a Victorian replacement by Messrs Barnard), marks worn, probably by Paul Storr, London 1813; 6.5" (16.5 cms) high; 39.5 oz *For a very similar silvergilt example as part of a tea set made for Ann McDonnell, Countess of Antrim, by Paul Storr, London 1813.
