A blue and white vase of Water Chestnut form, painted with three quatro-lobbed panels of dragons chasing a pearl, these panels interspersed with clouds and surmounted by a single dragon chasing a pearl around the neck, artimesia leaf mark of Kangxi within a double circle and probably of the period, 15 1/4in. (39cms) high (chip to rim, crack to body). PROVENANCE An old Borders Collection-purchased at a country house sale in the 1950`s.
Four pieces of Chinese porcelain, to include: a saucer dish, boldly painted with a dragon whose body continues over the lip to the underside of the dish, umbrella symbol of Kangxi to base within a double circle and of the period; a smaller saucer dish painted with flowers and with Kangxi lotus flower mark to base; a small bowl painted with fisherman; and a provincial bowl decorated with floral and geometric panels (all with some damage).
A fine carved celadon glazed `Flying Clouds` water pot, Kangxi six character mark and of the period, of `beehive` form, the in curving sides rising to a slight lip, the body carved with gently billowing clouds, the body with celadon glaze, the interior and base with transparent glaze with later hardwood stand, 3 1/8in.
