18th c. Chinese export porcelain platter with famille verte decoration. The central reserve depicts a basket overflowing with flowers, surrounded by a border of auspicious Buddhist symbols interspersed with colorful diapering. The edge of the platter is decorated with twelve segments depicting floral scenes. Marked in underglaze blue along the underside; the mark is typical of the Kangxi period.Height: 2 1/2 in x diameter 14 1/4 in.

PAIR OF BLUE AND WHITE MOONFLASKS KANGXI MARK BUT 19TH-20TH CENTURY 康熙款 十九至二十世紀 青花花鳥紋雙耳抱月壺 each decorated with twin birds and flowers on the flattened circular panels, the sides with scrolling lotus, a band of lappets decorating the foot and diaper on the mouth, flanked by a pair of pierced stylised handles, the base inscribed with a four-character Kangxi mark(24cm high each)Provenance: Sir Maurice William Ernest de Bunsen (1852-1932), and then by descent. Sir Maurice William Ernest de Bunsen was a British diplomat who held many important international positions in the early 20th century, notably as Ambassador to Spain between 1906 and 1913, and Austria between 1913 and 1914.

(2)CONDITION REPORT: There are chips to the rim of the larger plate. There is prominent crazing to the larger plate also. There are a few chips to the rim of the smaller plate with crazing to the reverse and staining to the front.
