A Chinese Kangxi Reign Lotus vase, circa 1700. Height 36 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This vase is in generally good condition with no repairs and no restoration. There are no hairline cracks. There is one small chip to the underside outer edge of the foot rim. The base of the vase has several firing marks which should be evident from our images. The vase is generally a good colour and the condition of the outer surface is also very good. The vase may have had a porcelain or wooden lid when originally made as the very top of the rim is not glaze. It is however interesting the pattern goes up to the rim top and would otherwise be covered by a lid. We will never know.
A Chinese charger, with Kangxi marks. Diameter 40.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The charger is in generally extremely good condition with no repairs and no restoration. There are no hairline cracks. The edge of the plate has two tiny edge nibbles possibly caused by a plate hanger. The pattern is generally good with no scratching and no wear.
A Chinese famille verte vase, the square body rising from a short spreading foot to a short neck with everted rim, painted in famille-verte palette with a scene depicting an official talking to his wife and daughter behind a small rock mountain and tree. Mark of Kangxi on the base, but late Qing dynasty, 19th century, 24.5cm high, Glaze chip on one side of the edge.
A 19th century Chinese blue and white porcelain baluster vaseUnusually decorated with various animals in a continuous landscape above a band of Buddhist emblems or Bajixiang, blue painted four character Kangxi mark to base; together with a Chinese porcelain bowl, the exterior polychrome decorated with precious objects, the interior decorated in underglaze blue with floral sprays, red painted four character mark to base. 31.5 cm high and 18 cm diameter respectively. (2) CONDITION REPORTS: Vase generally good with expected wear, bowl with chips to rim.
