Two 19th century prints, Mr Loggan, 'The remarkable characters who were at Tunbridge Wells with Richardson in 1748', publ. 20th May 1804 for Richard Phillips and a print of Chess players, largest 18 x 28cm The full tile of the first print is "The Remarkable Characters Who Were At Tunbridge Wells with Richardson in 1748. From a drawing in his possession with references in his own writing." The 'Remarkable Characters' include one who is listed as "Loggan the Artist"The identity of the artist himself is likely to have been a Mr Loggan who was 'an eccentric little artist' who lived in a small hut at the South West corner of The Parade, and who made his living painting fans. Loggan's hut is shown on a plan of the area drawn up under the Rusthall Manor Act dated 1739
