A late 19th Century Mintons China Works dust pressed tile blue line transfer printed with a central medallion depicting a riverside building by a bridge within sepia line transfer printed floral scrolled border, together with a similar period black line transfer print of farm buildings with colour wash, signed in monogram L.T.S and a further example with a view of Canarvon castle.
A large pair of mid 19th Century Mintons porcelain tile panel runs each composed with a central circular roundel painted with a spray of flowers to a woven basket flanked by rectangular panels decorated with hand enamelled floral groups over a white glazed ground within pale pink borders with mercury gilded running floral detail. The panels each set within timber frames. Provenance-These architectural panels formed part of the archway in the hall of Thomas Mintons former home where they were discovered and removed prior to it being demolished circa 1999/2000. Dimensions Ð each roundel 9" in diameter, each panel 26" by 9", each panel 7ft 2" by 17" wide.
A 19th Century Wedgwood dust pressed tile turquoise line transfer printed with a young lady in period dress picking oranges to a garden setting depicting September from the Old English series after designs by Helen J. A. Miles, mounted to an oak frame, together with a matched series example depicting August (A/F), 6" square.
An earlier early 20th Century dust pressed three tile panel hand painted with an image of an old man resting to his shovel before a wide landscape with fruiting bough overhead. The set mounted to a deep oak surround with gilded panel above titled Autumn, possibly Malkin Edge & Co., each tile 6" square.
A 19th Century T.R. Boote dust pressed and relief moulded tile decorated with two putti resting to a classical floral scroll picked out with a green majolica glazed finish, together with a similar period example decorated with a classical maiden to a central roundel over red majolica ground, both 6" square.
