A framed Continental tile map of the world, 19th century, consisting of twelve tiles, depicting the globe in two circles, one showing the Arctic and the Americas, the other showing Africa, Asia and Europe, overall with Latin inscription, decorated in blue and yellow and with figural Romayne panels, cartouches supported by grapes and fruits, cherubs flying against cloudy skies and ships sailing on the seas, in moulded ebonised wooden frame, each tile 25 cm square, width of map 98 cm, width framed 110 cm. Provenance: Retailed by Mallets.

A large 19th Century Minton & Hollins ceramic tile in the Arts and Crafts style painted with a boy with hawk leaning upon a wall beside seated man reading a book, bears "M H" monogram and initialled "K S", together with a Minton & Hollins tile painted with a mother and child with dove at her feet, bearing "M H" monogram, each housed in an oak frame (ILLUSTRATED)

All gilded, relief carved border of bows and floral scrolls. The moulded and gilded apron is supported by bold parcel gilt cabriole legs terminating in raised foliate style scroll feet and stabilized by a parcel gilt, relief carved, symmetrical, and undulating stretcher featuring a carved rosette and splayed floral garlands.Condition: chipping to gilded edges and apron.
