STAR TREK: VOYAGER (1995-2001) - Michael and Denise Okuda Collection: Isolinear Computer Chip - An isolinear computer chip from the television series Star Trek: Voyager. Processing chips like this were used on Voyager to store data and run operations.This lot comes from the collection of celebrated Star Trek franchise artists and advisors Michael and Denise Okuda. This chip is composed of a fluorescent yellow acrylic tile etched with a circuit board-like pattern, and a white paper tape at one end with a printed barcode and "31-4077" number. This lot exhibits chipping and scratches on the acrylic, as well as lifted adhesive and creasing on the tape. Dimensions: 3.24" x 1" x 0.25" (8.25 cm x 2.5 cm x 0.25 cm)Though their long and celebrated careers in the Star Trek world began in features, Michael and Denise Okuda established themselves as franchise legends while working on Star Trek: The Next Generation. Michael became art supervisor on TNG, while Denise came on as a scenic artist during Deep Space Nine, roles they would continue to perform through Voyager, Enterprise, and the Next Generation films. Married in 1993, the Okudas are known as the driving forces behind the development of many of the now-iconic 24th-century technologies seen throughout the series, including the famous "Okudagrams" they created for the LCARS (Library Computer Access and Retrieval System) interfaces . G-Plan - A mid 20th century G-Plan teak wood tile and glass topped coffee table. The coffee table raised on shaped supports to either side, united by a central stretcher. Having a top of rectangular form, with tiled section to one end, beside a long smoked glass top. Measures approx. 45cm x 121cm x 51cm.
In the manner of Lewis Foreman Day, a late 19th Century oak cased two train, eight day mantle clock. A glazed hinged door opening to reveal a ceramic tile dial with white foliate spandrels on a blue ground surrounding a chapter ring with breguet style brass hands indicating to Arabic numerals in white discs, the centre decorated with Morning Glory. A similarly decorated panel to the plinth. The brass plated movement striking on the hour and half hour. Winding key and adjustable pendulum present. 25cm x 16.5cm x 32cm.
Maw & Co. - A set of six mid 20th century circa. 1970s Maw & Co. Tubeline and Majolica framed ceramic tiles. The tiles each depicting Victorian workers in different professions, each titled to lower, including; Chorus Girl, Chimney Sweep, Street Trader, Street Musicians, Gameskeeper, Victorian News Vendors. Each tile hand painted. Measures approx. 44cm x 24cm.
Butcher’s Shop Diorama - A rare antique butcher’s shop diorama with its original signage “U. Lamb” and “Family Butcher” c.1900. It is complete with counter, papered tiling, butcher’s blocks, butcher’s scales, and various composition cuts, sides and joints of meat – including strings of sausages and a pig’s head; and is housed in a glazed cabinet with opening front. The shop itself has a hinged floor with an affixed shop counter, so that the counter section can be folded up. There is a meat rail for the hanging of hams and sides and cuts of pork and beef. Tile patterned paper covers the floor and internal walls; roof tile patterned paper is affixed to the roof; and brick patterned paper adorns the shop counter, the sides and the facade. Behind the main counter sits a table displaying bacon, cutlets, chops and rolled joints. The cabinet is glazed on all sides, has a blue velvet covering to its base, and the front slides up on runners and is strung with weights so that it remains open if required.
