A mammoth arched-top carbon print, c. 1870, looking down across a pond and front drive at a large house nestled behind trees on a hillside, various outbuildings and four figures on the grass adjacent to the pond, 43 x 59 cm, framed and glazed. The house is unidentified, but almost certainly English, and possibly in the Home Counties or surroundings. The slate tile roof has three gabled windows and above the shell-hood porch are indistinct initials, possibly TC or TG and the date 171[?]. (1)

My Garden - A Clarice Cliff vase circa 1934 of cylindrical form relief moulded around the base with large stylised flowers below a streaked tonal brown Delecia style ground, hand painted "My Garden" and Bizarre mark, height 12.5cm. Condition - No chips or restoration, crack running through the body from upper rim. [Issued shortly after Inspiration ware Latona was a milky white glaze, created by mixing standard honeyglaze with tile glaze, resulting in a semi-opaque surface which gave the pottery a chic new look. It was perfected by June 1929 just after Clarice’s first Conical shapes appeared. Clarice teamed up her milky white Latona glaze with some highly colourful floral freehand designs such as this 1929 Latona Bouquet pattern and elicited an improved response from customers, much of the large Latona range being popular in Australia.
