A 19th century Chinese ceramic figure of a dignitary riding on the back of an elephant, raised on plinth, glazed in shades of green, blue and brown, reputedly a roof tile, h.27cm, with the Contemporary Fine Art Gallery of Eton receipt dated 17th March 2000; together with a ceramic incense burner, the cover surmounted by a Fo Dog, having pierced brass grille and rectangular tapering base, h.17cm (2)Condition report: Smaller: The shishi's tail is chipped. Firing crack to base. Decoration lightly rubbed. otherwise ok.Larger: the foot is chipped. There is crazing. A firing crack has occurred to the elephant's underside.
