A well engineered model of a Grasshopper Beam engine, built by Mr V E Judd of Ickenham to the Easton and Anderson design. The vertical cylinder with outside steam valve linked by twin eccentrics, disc crank with beam linkage and water pump, spoked flywheel having bearings with oil cups, display belt driven bevel gear governor, steam control valve with drain cock. The model finished in red, blue and green paintwork, mounted on simulated brick and tile plinth with polished wooden base. 34cm x 28cm. Total height 22cm.
