A Chinese famille rose `light colouring` tile with calligraphy, by Jin Gao, 1865 decorated with a bird on a prunus branch, beside bamboo, with a three line inscription and seal, the colophon reads as: `In the year of 1865 summer, by Jin Gao`, the seal reads as `minister Gao` Jin Gao, worked at the Imperial kiln in Jingdezhen during Tongzhi and Guangxu period, and was a leading porcelain artist during that time.
