SNOWDON & CO; an exhibition sycamore and walnut inlaid bedroom suite, comprising three door mirrored wardrobe, pedestal dressing table with bedroom chair, tile backed marble topped wash stand, bedstead and mirror backed pot cupboard, each piece is stamped for Snowdon, Rochdale, Oldham, width of washstand 160cm, width of wardrobe 236cm, width of bed 155cm.  Snowdon & Co of Rochdale and Oldham flourished between 1876 and 1886 and there is reference in the Yorkshire Exhibition of 1879 as well as The Furniture Gazette of 30th August 1879, detailing Snowdon exhibiting an inlaid bedroom suite in sycamore and walnut at the exhibition. It has always been family belief that this was the bedroom suite detailed and the scale and impressive nature of the suite would also indicate this.
