AN IZNIK POTTERY SQUARE TILE, 16TH/17TH CENTURY Boldly decorated in blue, red and green with a geometric design of flowerheads encircling a saz leaf, reserved on a blue-white ground, 25.4cm. Provenance: an English private collection from North London. Purchased from Gabor Cossa Antiques c.1982.
A CHINESE FAMILLE VERTE DOUBLE-SIDED TILE, KANGXI 1662-1722 The rectangular tile painted to one side with a scene depicting the Zhua zhou ceremony, with ladies surrounding a small boy before an altar selecting auspicious objects on his first birthday, the other with a flowering pomegranate branch, mounted in a later hardwood frame as a table screen, 23cm x 27.2cm. *Bayonet. A WWII German parade bayonet, the 25 cm plated blade with hooked quillon composite diced grip, 38 cm overall in its black metal scabbard, together with a WWI French Gras bayonet (lacking scabbard), two Indian Kukris plus a roof tile from Hiroshima The roof tile shows a heat mark caused by the intense heat of the Atomic Bomb dropped on Hiroshima on 6 August 1945. It was collected from the site of the exhibition building in December 1953, whilst the vendor was on his way from Inchon, Korea to Malaya. (5)

A set of seven pairs of framed Maw & Co tiles with tubeline style decoration inscribed "En Vogue", each tile 19.5 x 19.5cm, framed in seven individual frames. CONDITION REPORT: One cracked, one with slight crazing, otherwise appears good with no further obvious signs of faults, damage or restoration.
