MINTON CERAMIC TILE, depicting a musician, stamp to reverse20cm x 20cmOverall in good condition, but showing some signs of age and use. The face of the tile shows some crazing and light cracking, and the nose of the man has been rubbed away, leaving the tile colour below. An additonal image of the tile back is now available.

Three Royal Doulton Pottery Tiles Designed by Donald Maxwell (1877-1936), for his 'Doomsday' series of Kent Villages - "Kemsing", "Lydd" and "Ryarsh", each with artist's monogram and titled, each 5.25ins x 6.25ins, in gilt moulded framesAll three tiles show light scattered browning to the lower edges of the tiles and the tile depicting Lydd has a 7cm crack running across the top left corner that should be evident in the attached photographs.

A Minton & Co 6 inch unglazed encaustic terracotta tile, attributed to A.W.N Pugin, circa 1850, quatrefoil fleur de lys in quarterlobed border and four petalled flowers to each corner, impressed marks to reverse, together with another decorated with three wheat sheafs, representing the coat of arms of the Comyn family and made for St Giles Church Cheadle' a Minton & Co Pugin tile, arched panels with branched foliate columns, and three similar. A collection of 18th Century English Delft blue on white 5 inch plastic clay tiles, each decorated with pictorial representations of biblical stories, within circular panels and with foliate sprigged corners, mainly London circa 1740, another with Liverpool attribution, Christ carrying the cross, hexagonal panel with winged masks to corners and a magenta tile decorated with Moses receiving the Tablets of the Law.
