A Chinese white glazed porcelain tile, decorated with the poet Tao Yuanming (363-427) standing holding a gnarled staff upon which is attached a flowering prunus sprig, at his side two young acolytes carry prunus spray and gourd on staves. Signed and with calligraphic inscription, 19th/20th century, 42 x 27cm in wood frame. Condition Report: Seal broken. Some wear to paint, especially on grass and young people's clothing.
