LARGE QAJAR POTTERY CIRCULAR TILE,second half of the 19th century, decorated in polychrome enamels on a cobalt ground with musicians and dancers at the court of Nasser al-Din Shah Qajar (1831-96) within border of scrolled vines, 52.3cm diameter Condition report: 13cm vertical crack upper right with a 9cm hairline spreading from this and further smaller; chips to rim at 9 and 11 o'clock with further chips to side all around as well as a crack at 6; numerous glaze chips and impacts; tile crazed all over and majority of crazing lines can be felt with the edge of a fingernail; further glaze bubbles and scratches as well as some underglaze staining and visible inclusions; 16cm hairline visible to reverse as well as further chips to the reverse; additional images illustrating above issues available
LARGE QAJAR POTTERY TILE,second half of the 19th century, decorated in polychrome enamels on a cobalt ground with a figural scene, 51.2cm diameter, mounted on a later backingCondition report: This tile has been extensively damaged and restored, overall of a muted non-reflective finish; crack running from between 2 and 3 o'clock into centre, from between 11 and 12 right through the tile with restoration running along as well as smaller hairlines including one at edge between 10 and 11; further hairlines and particularly noticeable restoration upper right and lower left, additional touch ups etc throughout; this tile has been mounted onto an additional backing so presumably unstable without this or further professional attention; further surface depressions and bruises, glaze scratches and impacts; crazed throughout with the majority of the crazing lines able to felt with a fingernail; chips and heavy wear around the edge of the tile; underglaze bubbling, staining and dirt visible; additional images illustrating these issues available

Lalique - A black lacquer pedestal display plinth, designed circa 1998, the front inset with a frosted crystal panel of Lalique glass in the Femme Tete Levee pattern, relief molded with a standing female nude amongst running fruiting vine design, to the opposing side a further panel in the Joueur de Pipeau design detailed with a male standing nude playing a pipe amongst fruiting vines, both set within a bronze beaded border inset to the lacquer body with mirror tile top, glass panels measure 46cm by 15cm, the plinth measures 25cm square by height 60cm.

A unique Poole Pottery faience architectural tile slab by Tony Morris originally mounted on the exterior of the pottery, rectangular form painted with abstract pattern in blue, unsigned, 60.5 x 30.5cm Literature Leslie Hayward and Paul Atterbury, Poole Pottery, Richard Dennis Publications, page 176 for the full panel illustrated. Catalogue notes This panel was one of forty tiles mounted on the exterior of the factory, thirty-two were mounted on the Fisherman's Road elevation, and a further eight in two columns around the corner, in 1963. It is believed this one comes from the latter eight panels and was purchased from the demolition company directly by the vendor.

Catalogue notes Bawden designed a series of tiles which were used at the visitor's tea room at Poole Pottery. The tearooms were illustrated in The Studio Year Book, 1934. In 1924 this image was published under the title Throwing on the Wheel in a Poole Pottery leaflet.

An oak Aesthetic movement tile back wash stand with replacement marble top, in the Lamb of Manchester manner, with turned 'A' frame supports, tiles decorated with peacocks - the wardrobe to match this willbe in next sale. The marble is a modern replacement. Both raised side pieces with tiles are present - right hand side one is loose but not damaged.
