A matched set of George III silver old english pattern fork, by George Smith London, c. 1784. Comprising: 19 table forks and 15 dessert forks. 60ozs gross. Also seven Victorian silver tea spoons by George William Adams, dates between c.1877 & 1881, 4.7ozs gross. Also eight Victorian silver fish knives, London, various dates, and two silver handled fruit forks.
A 1930's cased condiment set, comprising two peppers, two open salts and lidded mustards with four associated condiment spoons, each piece of rectangular from with canted corners, conforming lids and bases with stepped detail, four with blue glass liners, hallmarked Birmingham 1936, sponsors mark reads A&G.C. Together with a cased set of six cake forks with decorative open work finials, hallmarked Birmingham 1933 and a cased white metal knife, fork and spoon.
A Victorian cased spoon and fork christening set with bright cut engraving, hallmarked Richard Martin & Ebenezer Hall London 1886 and Sheffield 1887, together with a further twentieth century cased christening set, a pair of decorative Edwardian cased preserve spoons, hallmarked Sheffield 1902, sponsors mark reads 1902 and a Georgian and Victorian condiment spoon. Gross silver weight 6.71ozt (208.6gms). The Victorian cased fork and spoon are in excellent condition. The tip of the bowl of the spoon is a little bent, and there are minor surface scratches to both items. The prongs of the fork are slightly notched and blunted. The bright cut engraved decoration is clear and distinct, and the hallmarks are unrubbed and legible. he twentieth century cased set is in good condition. Again there are surface scratches, and patches of tarnish to the whole. The prongs of the fork are bent, and there are some pits to the inside of the bowl of the spoon. The decoration to the handles is a little rubbed in places. There are engraved monograms reading AFW to the undersides of the handles. These monograms are clear and unrubbed. The hallmark on the spoon is slightly worn but still legible, and on the fork is distinct and crisp. he preserve spoons are in good condition as well. There is a large amount of tarnish towards the ends of the bowls and handles, and surface
A modern silver cased canteen of six place settings, comprising six dinner knifes, six side knifes, six pairs of fish eaters, six dinner forks, six side forks, six desert spoons, six soup spoons, six teaspoons, two table spoons, one small ladle and carving knife fork and sharpener each with rope twist detail to the handles, each hallmarked Sheffield 1976, possibly Roberts and Belk, total weight 111.5ozt. Together with an Old English Georgian basting spoon, hallmarked London 1823, sponsors mark reads JB, a modern sauce ladle, hallmarked Sheffield 1958 and a three piece silver plated condiment set.
