A set of six early-Victorian silver and ivory fruit knives and forks Alexander Hunt, Sheffield 1838, with lappet mounts to the shell carved ivory handles, gross weight 16.0 tr.oz.(12) Condition: Marks clear - show the William IV head but date letter S for 1838. The silver is in good condition, with just a few dents to tip of one knife, but there are some age splits to all of the ivory handles, and one has a burn mark. Two fork handles and one knife handle are loose. All have black inked engraved crests, which are very worn.
