A MILITARY PRESENTATION DIRK MID-19TH CENTURY blade signed Lockwood Brothers, Sheffield, the carved root wood handle with silver studs and flat pommel cap, engraved around the button 'Presented to Capt & Adjutant William Donaldson, Highland Light Infantry, by Major the Hon Alistair E. Fraser, Scots Fusilier Guards 1857', the tooled leather scabbard with engraved silver mounts and set with bi knife and fork, with spear point blade 36cm length of blade, overall length 48cm Note: Although the exact reason for the presentation of this dirk is not recorded it seems highly likely it will relate to the Highland Light Infantry's time serving in India during the Indian Mutiny. They served there between 1857 and 1863 after having seen service in the Crimea in 1854.

Edward VII Scottish Regimental Officers dirk having main blade with single edge and thumb indented top edge, carved basket weave design rootwood grip having silver pommel, silver mounted leather scabbard featuring a small matching knife and fork, on an associated plated chain. Hallmarked for Edinburgh 1906, rubbed makers initials. 44cm long overall approx. (B.P. 24% incl. VAT) CONDITION REPORT: Appearing in good original condition. Some scuffs, wear and marks particularly to the leatherwork. Otherwise no other obvious damage. The white metal mounts are only hallmarked to the collar of the scabbard although all appear to be silver.

Also a large collection of silver plated ware, to include; a Mappin & Webb Ltd three piece cruet set, with spoon and blue glass liners in Mappin card box, a four piece tea and coffee service, a three piece tea service, a cased two piece silver plated christening set, a cased set of six apostle spoons, a Mappin & Webb Ltd tazza, a pair of basting spoons and a large quantity of silver plated flatware and other items.
