Georg Jensen Sterling Silver Spoon and Fork in the Acorn Pattern. The Acorn Pattern was one of the most successful Silver Designs. It was designed by Johan Rhode in 1916 and has been in production since. It is highly collected. Both the Spoon and Fork are engraved on the back. They are both in good condition. No visible dents or damage. Total gross weight of both the Spoon and Fork is approx. 63.75 grams.

A silver plated Highlander's dress dirk together with a plaid brooch, the dirk with decorative handle featuring four oval cabochon cut foil backed smoky quartz above a cartouche featuring two hounds, and below four recesses containing alternate soldiers and maidens and a row of coloured foil backed hardstones, the pommel with circular faceted foil backed smoky quartz, steel tapering blade, 32.5cm long with clipped rear edge, decorative scabbard featuring the crest and ribboned motto of CLAN ANDERSON with helmet above, the subsidiary fork and knife similarly designed, verso with simple fitting, overall length 54cm; the base metal brooch of circular form, 10cm diameter, outer pierced section over a plain ground featuring eagles and balls on a foliate field, central raised section similarly decorated, with a circular brown facetted smoky quartz, 4.5cm diameter, verso with simple pin and hook fitting, 10cm diameter (2)Dirk - Overall in fair to good condition with no obvious sign of repair. The scabbard has some loss to the material exposing the wood under the crest and motto area. Some very minor loss of plating to the high exposed areas. Would benefit from being cleaned. The fork, knife and dirk all in good condition with just some staining to the steelwork.Brooch - Overall in good condition with no obvious sign of repair. Some light surface scratches and nicks, as to be expected and commensurate with age and use. Verso missing 6 of the 12 retaining nuts.

However, it was with his grandson, Jean Baptiste Claude Odiot (born in 1763) that the firm reached its peak of notoriety, receiving exceptional commissions from Napoleon’s court and the most important royal families of the world. Odiot succeeded Henry Auguste as Napoleon’s official silversmith and made both the sceptre and the sword for his coronation in 1804, together with a travelling service for the Emperor’s campaigns.
