Also with a silver stamp case, small silver pill box, modern silver group of Pheasants, plated Fox stirrup cup etc. Knife and Fork marked for London 1897, SM & Co.

A late 20th century highland Dirk / sheathed kilt knife having a thistle carved wooden handle with a large inset faceted orange citrine-like stone. With a leather wrapped scabbard having white metal sections embossed with thistles and the typical sections for the by- knife and fork. Attached with chains and set with further orange stones. The blade has a scalloped edge and is marked stainless steel. Made by Art Pewter Ltd. Measures approx 46cm.

AN ARGYLL & SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS DIRK. A high quality 19thC A & Sutherland Highlanders officers dirk , with silvered mounts and etched blade. The ornate mounts to the scabbard throat and knife and fork fittings, bear the Boars Head and Sans Peur, Ne Oblivis Caris. Dark brown leather on the scabbard, with both knife and fork present, the latter lacking its spring clip. The blade of exceptional etching details, Crowns surmounting the Boars Head on one side, Sans Peur below the Wild Cat. Of some 12" length with dual fullers, being exceptionally clean with very little staining present. See Illustration
A GORDON HIGHLANDERS DIRK. A silver mounted officer of the Gordon Highlanders Dirk, by Kirkwood of 65 & 66 Thistle Street, Edinburgh. Hallmarks for Edinburgh 1892, on the scabbard mounts. A Gordon Highlanders badge at the throat mount, with Egypt and India on a cross. Ornate silver mounts to all parts, with thistles and oak leaves etc. The blade of classical form, with spearpoint and three-quarter fuller also the serrated back edge. The blade of 12" in length, with a narrow fuller below the spine, the hilt with silver studded carved grip. Three pale stones are inset in the pommel, also the knife and fork hilts. The whole of some considerable quality, a very well made example. 17.3/4" overall length. See Illustration
