Produced in France from 1930 to the 1950's figures include- man sowing seed, man scything, man with wheelbarrow, lady with pitchfork, man sharpening a scythe, man with hay fork, lady with small haybale, lady sowing wheat, man drinking from flagon and elderly gent with staff and flagon. Slightly larger than Britains figures being 6.5cm. GC-VGC minor chipping only. £100-150Note: Mr. Munkle was born in 1898, from 1922 his figures were made mostly in France. His Company was sold in 1953 and closed in 1958.

Fünf ausziehbare Laden mit maßgefertigten und in weinrotem Filz bezogenen Aufnahmestegen für das Besteck, vs. jeweils mit goldgeprägter Inhaltsbezeichnung. Alle Teile des Silberbestecks mit gefluteten Stielen/Griffen sowie Monogramm "VD" in Lorbeerkranz. Feingehaltspunzen "800" sowie Juweliersbezeichnung "Julius Lemor Breslau". In der obersten Lade "Grosse Stücke" das Servierbesteck mit vergoldeten Laffen: Schöpfkelle, zwei Fleischgabeln mit vergoldeten Stahlzinken, ein großer, zwei mittlere und 18 kleine Servierlöffel. The lid with a burgundy silk lining and the gold manufacturer's mark "Julius Lemor - Silberwaren-Fabrik & Präge-Anstalt - Breslau, Fischergasse 4". Five removable drawers with custom-built inserts, covered in burgundy felt, to hold individual pieces of cutlery, the front of each labelled in gold embossing. All parts of the silver cutlery with fluted shafts/handles and the monogram "VD" in a laurel wreath. Stamped with the mark of fineness "800" and the jeweller's mark "Julius Lemor Breslau". In the top drawer labelled "Grosse Stücke", the serving cutlery with gilt bowls: a ladle, two meat forks with gilt steel tines, one large, two medium-sized and 18 small serving spoons. Length between 36.5 and 14 cm. The second drawer "Dessert-Messer & Gabeln" with 18 forks and 18 knives, length 17.5 and 21.6 cm respectively. The third drawer "Tisch-Messer & Thee-Löffel" holding 18 knives and 18 teaspoons, the table knives with steel blades, length 25 and 14.3 cm respectively. The fourth drawer "Ess-Löffel & Tisch-Gabeln" with 18 dessert spoons and 18 table forks, length 21.5 and 21 cm respectively. The bottom drawer "Diverses" with special utensils loosely inserted, the blades, bowls or tines of which partially in gilt silver or steel: asparagus tongs, a large meat knife and fork, two-piece salad servers, a small ladle, a butter knife and a fish knife, length between 27.5 and 20 cm. Most of the steel blades marked "rostfrei", some have probably been replaced due to age. Parts of the monograms abraded due to use, particularly on the serving utensils. Ivory Folding Rule, Wood Late Abraham, English, c.1850, engraved 'WOOD LATE ABRAHAM LIVERPOOL' and with owners name 'J F Ramsbotham' delicatly constructed of ivory with german silver fittings, engraved both sides with inches and scalings to the bevelled edges, 60cm fully extended. [CITES] Note: John Ramsbottom (b. 11 September 1814 – d. 20 May 1897) was an English mechanical engineer. he was born in Todmorden, then on the county border of Yorkshire and Lancashire. Ramsbottom was the son of a steam cotton mill owner. here he learned about steam engines, rebuilding his father's and also invented the weft fork (this has also been attributed to James Bullough) that enabled looms to be run at high speed. He also created many inventions for railways but his main legacy is the split metal piston ring, which he invented and later perfected. Virtually all reciprocating engines continue to use these today. Ramsbotham became a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers in 1866. He was also president of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers in 1870 and 1871. Note: This lot contains or is made of ivory and cannot be imported into the USA or any country within the EU.
