A pair of Victorian silver bladed fish servers by Joseph Rodgers & Sons, Sheffield 1883-4, each with pierced decoration and engraved latter 'H' to blades, set to carved ivory coloured handles, the fork 25cm long, the knife 33cm long (2) Trevanion & Dean does not ship items containing ivory outside the EU. Trevanion & Dean recommends that buyers check with their own government regarding any importation requirements prior to placing a bid. A buyer's inability to import these lots cannot justify a delay in payment or sale cancellation. The government have proposed legislation to create a UK law to ban the sale of all ivory. Please note this means that this lot is legal to sell now but may not be in the future.

A rare cased set of Victorian silver fish-eaters, by Martin and Hall, Sheffield, The Knives 1867, The Forks 1868, the handle of each modelled as a fish, the blades and tines engraved with foliage and a crest, in fitted mahogany finish case with vacant brass shield, the case 25.5cm wide . Each marked on handle and blade or tines. The handles further marked with design registration diamond for 23 June 1864. The marks are generally clear on the blades and tines while there is some wear to the marks on the handles. There are some overall scratches and wear, consistent with age and use. Some of the handles are coming slightly away from the attachments, this is most obvious on one fork. There are some scuffs and scratches to the case
