A Pair of B.R.C. 'Alpha' Self-Contained Acetylene Gas Headlamps Dating between 1903 and 1910, a sided-pair of Boa-Rodrigues & Company factory-made lamps. Manufactured for 'Maison Labourdette', 183 Rue de la Pompe, Paris, (coachbuilders) with engraved insignia fitted to the heat ventilators on each lamp. Other features include parabolic nickel-silver reflectors with mirror lenses, centrally mounted condenser lenses, stout hinges and pull locking bars to each front door, carrying bails, stabilising feet, 7½-inch spaced fork mountings, and both numbered 135. The generators retain their appropriate gas taps, carbide of calcium cylinders and bayonet locking With 11-inch bezels and standing 14-inches high, they are in excellent polished-brass condition. (2)

'Alpha' Acetylene Gas Projectors Dating between 1903 & 1909, a sided-pair of Boa-Rodrigues & Company factory-made lamps, together with their correct running board mounted acetylene gas generator. Made for retailers Dunhill, the lamps have 'Dunhill Motoralities' badges fitted to the heat ventilators. Other features include parabolic nickel-silver reflectors, centrally mounted condenser lenses, stout hinges and sprung clips to each front door, carrying bails, stabilising feet and 8-inch spaced fork mountings. With 12-inch bezels and standing 17-inches high, they are in magnificent polished-brass condition. The rectangular generator has a carrying handle, gas tap, carbide of calcium cylinder and bayonet locking. (3)

Lot 304

A c1898 Humber Gentleman's Bicycle Comprising several interesting features, the 26-inch frame, numbered 507565, appears sound and the remains of the company transfer can be seen on the headstock. The brakes are unusual and the parts to complete the ensemble come with the machine. Also fitted is an unusual Eadie (type) fixed and freewheel rear hub, operated by a top tube quadrant. Other features include an inch-pitch chain and a 5-inch chain-wheel, a braced off-side rear fork, thread-gripped rat-trap pedals, 20-inch curved flat handlebars, bell, pump and an early 'OO' labelled Brooks leather saddle.

Clucas of York, 54-inch Reproduction Ordinary.Built in 1981 to a very high standard in the guise of an 1884 Singer double-hollow-fork 'Challenge' bicycle, to include a replica of a Coopers patent adjustable mounting step. Other features include a 1-inch crescent rim front and back, adjustable headstock, 24-inch semi-drop handlebars with turned wooden grips, spoon brake and sprung operating lever, sealed front bearings, an 'Arab' style saddle support arrangement and rat-trap pedals. A sound and highly useable bicycle with an engraved identification plate fitted to the circular section backbone.

A Platinum Diamond Ring, the round brilliant cut diamond in three claws, asymmetrically set to forked shoulders one side, the fork set with round brilliant cut diamonds, to a plain polished shank, principal diamond estimated to weigh 0.55 carat approximately, finger size M1/2 see illustration. The ring is in very good condition. It is hallmarked with sponsor's mark 'EF', London, 2006. The principal diamond measures; 5.22mm x 5.14mm, depth unobtainable. The approximate qualities of the diamonds are; (principal) colour I/J, clarity SI1/SI2, (residual) colour I/J/K, clarity SI1/SI2/I1. Gross weight 5.6 grams. CR made 21.01.19.

An 18 Carat Gold Necklace, by Lapponia, the abstract form with a textured finish, a blue bi-pyramid gem inset to the pendant, chain length 39cm, drop length 5.5cm see illustration. The necklace is in good condition. It fastens with a tongue and box catch and features a safety clasp. It is stamped with marks including a trident fork, a crown, 'S7' referring to the date of production (1971) and 'FINLAND' and is hallmarked with town mark London (import), 1971.
