A SCOTTISH HIGHLAND REGIMENT DIRK, 29cm fullered blade with faceted back edge by Mayer & Mortimer, characteristic gilt brass mounted hilt profusely decorated with thistles, the pommel set with an orange stone, carved basket weave wooden grip set with brass studs, contained in its gilt brass mounted black leather scabbard complete with companion knife and fork, the upper mount set with a crown and the whole decorated to match, complete with blue velvet and bullion frog decorated with thistles.
