A late 19th Century Scottish longcase regulator, the 32cm diameter silvered face with black Arabic minutes, long single-sweep hand and subsidiary hour and seconds dials, named "Thomas Morgan, Edinburgh"; the deadbeat escapement with maintaining power, in an arched mahogany case with glazed sides and door backed by pierced foliate carving, enclosing a thermometer, on a deep paneled bas and bracket feet. 200cm tall. With weight and a winding key.

The dial is clean and the thermometer tube is intact. Some general wear to the case. The silver-mounted case is missing one pin to the mount. Clasp is functional. The strut hinge is damaged and with general wear.
