An Early 19th Century French Combined Carriage Timepiece, Barometer, Thermometer and Compass, with enamel dials to front, the timepiece with Roman numerals to the eight day movement with silvered dial to compass, contained in polished brass and bevelled glass Corniche pattern case with turned handle and on bracket feet, 6.75ins highThe clock presents in good overall condition showing some adhesive marks to the rear, which in our opinion it has had some sticky tape present at some point and it should clean off quite easily. The compass to the top appears to function correctly as does the thermometer and barometer, however we cannot warrant any form of accuracy, it should be noted that there is some slight marking to the glass at the point of adjustment for the barometer and that one hand appears loose. The clock itself appears to have the correct movement although we cannot warrant this. The clock winds, runs and sets but should be regarded as untested. There is no further damage to the glasses or to the enamel dials. Overall an honest example. We strongly recommend that any prospective bidder studies all images closely prior to bidding. The compass measures 40mm in diameter, the barometer measures 82mm x 54mm, and the clock measures the same, the thermometer measures 82mm x 17mm. Overall size 165mm x 76mm x 125mm.
