Case 9" diameter with a 5-1/2� dial.Barometer reading air pressure from 28 to 31 inches with weather predictions, steel indicating hand and brass recording hand, with a curved mercury thermometer reading both the temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. Case 11" diameter with a 7-1/2� dial.

An Admiral Fitzroy barometer supplied by John Dyson of Leeds, with height paper scales and Admiral Fitzroy's observations, brass sliding pointers, with a thermometer and storm glass, bulb cistern tube with mercury, the glazed oak case with crested pediment, numbered on paper 367 815 with Victorian lozenge mark for 1881, overall height 124cm.Condition report:The case is in very good order. Some discolouration and foxing to the paper scale. All glass elements appear intact and the mercury level and reservoir are good. The sliding pointers do not adjust when the dials, which are ivorine, are turned.
