A George III mahogany wheel barometer, of small proportions, 14cm silvered register inscribed Thos. Rubergall, 24 Coventry Street, London, gadrooned cresting above a hygrometer, mercury thermometer and a level, outlined throughout with ebony stringing, 95cm high, c. 1810Thomas Rubergall was working from 1802 to 1854, but from Coventry street only from 1805 to 1823.
An unusual late 19th century miniature combination pocket thermometer, compass and barometer, unsigned but likely made by F Kuhn, Luzern, Switzerland, mother of pearl face to compass, white metal drum body, within original double sided leather case, circa 1890, once belonged to a Purser of the White Star Line Company, 2.3 by 5cm.
A George III mahogany stick barometer by James Long, with a broken arch swan neck pediment, with an urn finial above a silvered dial inscribed 'J A S Long Royal Exchange LONDON', with an adjustable vernier scale, the banded trunk with a silvered thermometer scale, the base with a turned well cover, 101.5cm high.
