An Edwardian brass mounted oak mantel timepiece in the form of a longcase clock, the cream chapter ring with Arabic numerals and inscribed `Alfred Mosley, Oxford`, the case with broken arch surmount, above applied masks, flower vases, lyres, scrolls and Cupid, the trunk with mercury thermometer, on a plinth base and bracket feet, height approx 50cm.
London Underground items comprising an ENAMEL STOPPING SIGN, white diamond on black (10" x 12" - 26cm x 31cm), a PLATFORM THERMOMETER made by O Comitti & Son and marked LT, and a RAIL THERMOMETER made by Russell & Sons, complete with wooden case, marked BRB but believed to have been used on the Underground. All in good, ex-use condition, thermometers appear to be working. [3]
An early 19c wheel barometer with broken pediment and mahogany case made by A Tarons & Co, Greville Street, Holborn. The dials and register scales are of silvered brass and are top to bottom a hygrometer, an alcohol thermometer reading in Fahrenheit, the 8"" barometer dial and a spirit level and name plate. The case has shell inlays flanking the thermometer and boxwood and ebony stringing around the case edges, the barometer is 40"" tall overall.
A late 19c pocket aneroid barometer. The silvered scale is graduated from 21-31"" and the altitude scale from 0-10,000ft, it has a thermometer gauge in Fahrenheit and is named Army & Navy. It has a rotating outer rim to the gilt metal case and it is contained in a leather outer carrying case, the barometer 2"" diameter overall.

A small selection of 19th Century clocks, to include a wooden case mantle clock with alarm by Seth Thomas of Connecticut, 24cm H; a balloon mantle clock with Brevet movement, the case with marquetry work to resemble boule work, supported on ebonised scrolls, having a central thermometer, all on a stepped base, 22cm H; a German pendulum and weights wall clock with painted wooden face, having black Roman numerals and hands, 27.5cm H, striking movement; a mahogany cased circular wall clock, with pendulum and weights, the cream face having black Roman numerals and hands, convex glass, 26cm dia, sold together with a classical form clock, case painted in red and gold with floral embellishments all out of a cream background, 27.5cm H.
