TWO LATE 19TH TO EARLY 20TH CENTURY SILVER MOUNTED THERMOMETERS, the first of rectangular outline, the central panel reads 'Negretti & Zambra London', with some outer scrolling decoration (parts of decoration a/f and cracks to panel), hallmarked Chester 1902, length 105mm, the second with circular main section and detachable pocket watch to the elongated ivorine panel holding the thermometer, the silver mount with scrolling floral, foliate and beaded decoration, hallmarked Birmingham 1892, length 117mm
An Edwardian silver Goliath pocket watch case Birmingham 1907, enclosing a Goliath pocket watch, along with a silver mounted desk thermometer Birmingham 1902, a silver case, open face pocket watch, inner case stamped '935 Swiss Made, Jay's London', and a silver plated Art Deco sugar caster CONDITION REPORT: Goliath watch - appears to be in good order, small brown mark to the right hand side of the central point, not currently running or winding. Some minor surface scratching and wear throughout. Goliath silver mounted case - easel back gone, monogrammed to the front, crease to the top left hand corner, dent to the bottom left hand corner. Marks rubbed but still legible. Would benefit from a good clean. Open face pocket watch - currently running sporadically when wound, glass yellowed and scratched, wear to the engine turning on the back of the case, and several small dents. Minor surface wear and scratching. thermometer - easel back broken and repaired with a safety pin, parts of the silver mount missing in places completely, base of the thermometer smashed, very worn.
A Minton secessionist square dish decorated with a wild rose on a red ground and a glass thermometer CONDITION REPORTS Numerous surface scratches, heavy crazing all over, two small cracks to the base, heavy discoloration and staining. Wear and tear commensurate with age and use. See photos for details.
A George III inlaid oak banjo shaped barometer, the silvered 8" dial with incised numerals marked P.G Ivsani, Wolverhampton, set in an oak case with strung boxwood inlaid borders, the central thermometer flanked by inlaid shell motifs below a central floral motif and broken pediment centred with a brass acorn finial, 97 cm high.
