A George III banjo barometer, mahogany veneered with chevron stringing, the architectural pediment with a turned ivory finial, above a hygrometer and silver thermometer (-10 to 210) to a 14inch dial inscribed Jno Wilson Fecit, London, engraved garlands and husks and a basket of flowers, to a brass hinged bezel, the base with a turned brass knob, 3ft 10.75in (118.5in ) high.
Cox - London. A George III Mahogany and Boxwood line inlaid Banjo Barometer in the Sheraton manner, the broken arch pediment centred by a brass finial circular shell inlay below and on the rounded base. Two turret shells flanking the thermometer bulb with spirit on a silvered scale the dial within a brass bezel. 97cm high.
W.Smith Crowland. An early XIX Century Mahogany and boxwood line inlaid Banjo Barometer in the Sheraton manner, the broken arch pediment centred by a brass finial circular rosette inlay below and on the rounded base the arched silvered thermometer flanked by two turret shells. The inscribed 20.5cm silvered dial warranted. 96cm high (W.Smith recorded 1825-1850).
