A Mahogany Ships Barometer, signed Bate, Liverpool, circa 1800, concealed mercury tube with a single silvered vernier dial signed, hinged front door with thermometer tube, turned ebony cistern, ivory adjustment knob 98cm high over suspension loopWith Non-Transferable Standard Ivory Exemption Declaration Number 9NT2ENKL Case with minor white paints marks in places, ebony cistern cover with small cracks, silvered dials are clean, mercury is visible in the tube.

Verdigris to the brass dial outer ring and lower ring, with further wear visible throughout. The ivory dial adjuster is missing. The Arts & Crafts example with water damage to the finish. The enamelled dial outer brass trim has lost a lot of its finish and is rather dull, with further marks visible internally. Otherwise, appears to be ok. The Art Deco example appears to be in fairy good order, although rather grubby.
