An Oak American Forecast Barometer, signed Joseph Davis & Co, 6 Kennington Park Road, London, circa 1880, pierced crested pediment, 9-1/2-inch silvered dial with two vernier displays for winter/summer, visible mercury tube, trunk with day of the week disc registers, glazed front with pierced fret work and thermometer, compass to the base, 105cm high 17.01.13, Case with some small dents in places, some of the silvering has slightly discoloured, mercury tube with mercury visible.
A Rosewood Stick Barometer, signed Chadburn, 71 Lord St, Liverpool, circa 1850, with concealed mercury tube, single ivory vernier scale signed, thermometer tube, turned cistern cover, 91cm high 11.12.12, Case with some minor dents to the edges of the trunk, arch top with veneer slightly lifting, dial is slightly dirty, mercury is visible in the tube.
An Oak Stick Barometer, signed Negretti & Zambra, 107 Holborn Hill, 1 Hatton Gardn & Cornhill, London, circa 1860, carved spiral pediment, concealed mercury tube, twin vernier silvered dial signed, thermometer box, carved mouldings to the cistern cover, 108cm high 29.01.13, Case with some small scratches in parts and slight rubbing, silvered dials are slightly faded, mercury is still visible in the mercury tube.
A Mahogany Ship`s Stick Barometer, signed John Good, 19 High St Hull, circa 1850, arched top, concealed tube with single vernier ivory dial signed, thermometer box, turned cistern cover, (distressed), 90cm high 29.01.13, Case with scuff marks and scratches in places, cistern cover with dents and signs of repair, mercury tube has smashed and needs a complete new mercury tube, central wall bracket gimbal is missing, ivory dial with a large chip to the top left hand side, barometer is distressed and needs restoring.
A Rare 5-1/2-inch Mahogany Wheel Barometer, signed Northen, Hull, circa 1830, swan neck pediment, thermometer box, 5-1/2-inch silvered dial signed, ebony stringing to the borders, 93cm high 29.01.13, Case has faded slightly to the front and the right hand side of the case has faded by sunlight damage, right hand side has been hit at some time, case with some dents to edges, mercury tube looks complete.
A 6-inch Rosewood Wheel Barometer, signed Luppi & Solca, Hull, circa 1830, swan neck pediment, hygrometer, thermometer box, 6-inch silvered dial, spirit level dial signed, 97cm high 29.01.13, Case with some small crack marks to the front, sides with some scratches, front of the swan neck looks to have been replaced, adjusting knob missing, mercury tube looks complete.
A Mahogany and Shell Inlaid Wheel Barometer, signed J M Ronketti, No 6 Peter Street, Bloomsbury, London, circa 1810, broken arched pediment, inlaid stringing to the borders, inset thermometer box, 8-inch silvered dial signed, 97cm high John Merry Ronketti is recorded working at 6 Peter Street, Bloomsbury 1800-1819. See Banfield (Edwin) Barometer Makers and Retailers, pg.187. 16.01.13, Case with some small dents to the top side of the pediment and to the edges, stringing to the borders have been slightly touched up with paint in places, some small scratches to the case, thermometer dial with some small dent marks, main dial with small scratches in parts and slightly discoloured, mercury tube is complete and has been plugged.
A Mahogany 10-inch Wheel Barometer, signed A Maspoli, Hull, circa 1830, swan neck pediment, hygrometer, thermometer box, 10-inch silvered dial, spirit level dial signed, 109cm high 29.01.13, Case needs restoring, veneered surfaces with rubbing in parts and small cracking, inlaid stringing to the borders have been touched up, sides with small dents and chips to edges, silvered dials have faded, mercury tube looks complete.
A Mahogany Wheel Barometer, signed J.Greenbank, Sedburgh, circa 1850, swan neck pediment, hygrometer, thermometer box, mirror, 8-inch silvered dial signed, spirit level, 96cm high 16.01.13, Case with the swan neck pediment replaced at some time but to a high standard, case has been polished to the surfaces, some minor chips to the edges, main dial and hygrometer dial with some small scratches, mercury tube is complete and has been plugged.
