H. Baker, London, a rosewood and mother-of-pearl inlaid wheel barometer: the ten-inch round silvered dial engraved with typical barometer scales along with Made by H. Baker, 90 Hatton Garden, the scroll-shaped rosewood case inlaid with mother-of-pearl decoration and having an hygrometer, thermometer and level, height 102cm.* Biography H. Baker is recorded as working at 90, Hatton Garden from circa 1848 until at least 1859.Ref: Edwin Banfield, Barometer Makers and Retailers 1660-1900, Pub. Baros Books 1991.

EJ DENT; an early to mid-19th century brass cased aneroid barometer and Fahrenheit's thermometer, the silvered dial set with climate indicators and Arabic numerals, signed and numbered 10,284, the case with instruction and sticker to reverse, dial diameter 10cm. CONDITION REPORT: Some areas of discolouration to dial, particularly to outer edges, some areas of surface wear to case, scratches and small areas of discolouration.
A mahogany cased banjo thermometer and barometer, the silvered dial set with Arabic numerals, length 97.5cm. CONDITION REPORT: Cannot say if this is in working order. Mercury replaced, scuffs and scrapes with some small losses to the case, rubbing, discolouration and some small dents and scratches to the dial.
