A fine and rare late 19th Century French Bronze and Rouge Marble AUTOMATA INDUSTRIAL WATER WHEEL CLOCK with galleried top and paddle wheel above double pistons to the front enclosing a silvered dial with Roman chapter ring fronting an eight day timepiece movement enclosed by Aneroid Barometer and Celcius Thermometer side dials above a stepped Rouge marble base on brass platform feet. 35.5cm wide, 18cm deep, and 40cm highConditionLooks to be in good overall working condition.
Three small reverse glass or verre églomisé pictures 19th century and earlier, one depicting the Ascension, one a portrait of a gentleman in Tudor dress, one a small black silhouette portrait within a green panel on a gold ground, and a souvenir thermometer picture of Freundschafts in Carlsbad, decorated in glass frit and mosaic with figures beneath tall trees, 21cm max. (4) Provenance: from a private collection in Sussex.

A late 19th century Negretti & Zambra of London oak stick barometer, having signed white enamel barometer scale with twin adjustable dials, above thermometer dial, h.114cm Condition Report / Extra Information The face of the left hand inner sliding scale is off but present. Chipped to each corner of pediment. Has mercury ½ way up top dial, but showing no temperature to thermometer. Has probably been laid down at some point.
