Ceppi & Shelbourne, Grantham, a mahogany wheel barometer: the eight-inch silvered dial with engraved decoration to the centre, with the silvered level engraved with the name Ceppi & Shelbourne, Grantham, with a hygrometer and thermometer within the trunk and a convex butler's mirror, the mahogany case with a swan-neck pediment, height 96cm.
Callaghan, London, a walnut wheel barometer: the case with carved scroll mouldings and carved floral decoration to the base, the ten-inch round silvered dial engraved Callaghan, 23A New Bond St, Corner of Conduit St, London and with floral decoration engraved to the centre, with a blued steel hand and brass pointer, with a thermometer set within the trunk, height 102cm. * Biography William Callaghan is recorded as working from circa 1860 until at least 1890 at various addresses in New Bond Street, London; numbers 23, 23A and 25 where he was known as a maker of stick, wheel and aneroid barometers and barographs.

An early 19th Century carved ivory rectangular box with gold mounts, the hinged lid opening to reveal a velvet-lined interior set with a Bennett Greenwich thermometer, the other a lock of hair within a gold framed case inscribed "Caroline Feb 16 1819, 6.8 cm long CONDITION REPORTS Ivory case has some blemishes and surface scratches. One side has some damage to the hinge area and has been reglued. There are areas of chipping, especially along the gold mounts. It is not known whether or not the thermometer is working, but assume not due to the gaps in the liquid. There are some chips to the interior of the case. Dirt. Discolouration throughout. The top of the thermometer surround has two pins missing. The ivory side containing the lock of hair has had a repair to the ivory frame in one corner. General wear and tear.
German Third Reich Luftwaffe Officer’s 2nd pattern dagger with straps by F.W. Höller, Solingen. An example with cream grip and twist wire binding; blade bears maker’s thermometer logo. Aluminium crossguard and langet bearing an eagle and swastika; the pommel ornamented with swastika and oakleaves. Housed in its plated metal scabbard fitted with two suspension rings. Complete rather well worn aluminium wire portepee (knot). Minor service wear, blade bears rust spots. GC Introduced in July 1937.
